The Taj Mahal earns the hype, but Agra Fort's Mughal architecture rivals it in places, the Baby Taj is the quiet, uncrowded version of the same marble inlay work, and Old Agra still runs on the same rhythms it has for centuries — spice lanes, sweet shops, and marble workshops you won't find on a highlight reel.
- Taj Mahal — the marble mausoleum Shah Jahan built for Mumtaz Mahal; best visited at sunrise for light and lower crowds.
- Agra Fort — the red sandstone Mughal fortress where Shah Jahan was later held under house arrest, with a clear view of the Taj Mahal from its ramparts.
- Itmad-ud-Daulah ("Baby Taj") — a smaller, earlier marble tomb often called a precursor to the Taj Mahal's inlay style, with a fraction of the crowds.
- Mehtab Bagh — a garden directly across the river from the Taj Mahal, popular for sunset views, subject to current access conditions.
- Old Agra — the older city core around Kinari Bazaar and the Jama Masjid, where most tour buses never go.
